Rover POD vs Rover MINI vs Solar Trailer

Rover POD

A full turnkey system in a 20 foot container, with solar, battery, a 3 stage water purification system and a rain harvest tank, everything pre wired and ready to connect. Suited to a permanent home, farm or worksite setup, from $49,900 +GST.

Rover MINI

The same solar array and inverter technology in a compact footprint, without the container or water system. Suited to sheds, cabins, workshops and smaller off grid applications, from $20,055 +GST.

Solar Trailer

A fully road transportable and registrable version, deploy to site and plug straight in. Suited to farming, emergency services and off grid construction sites, from $38,500 +GST.

Which Rover System Do I Need?

Start with how permanent the site is and whether you need onboard water treatment. A fixed home, cabin or farm building that also needs clean water suits the Rover POD. A shed, workshop or existing building that already has water suits the Rover MINI. A site you need power at temporarily, or one you cannot build a fixed structure on, suits the Solar Trailer, which can be registered and towed between locations. Every system is also available in Pro or Max battery capacity, with a Plus configuration to add an auto start back up generator for extended periods of low sun.

Water Collection and Treatment, Only On The Rover POD

The Rover POD is the only system in the range with an onboard water system, a 3 stage purification process with a hi flow pump and a UV final stage, plus a 3000L rain harvest tank that is expandable up to 20,000L. It can also draw from an external tank, stream, dam or well before treatment. Waste water treatment and desalination options are available on request, contact us to discuss your site.

What power output do Rover systems deliver?

All Rover systems deliver a regular 240V AC power supply, the same as a typical home.

Can I connect a back up generator?

Yes. A Plus configuration adds an auto start back up generator on the Rover POD and Rover MINI, and the Solar Trailer includes a built in petrol generator with optional auto start.

How long do the lithium batteries last?

Rover uses Tier 1 lithium battery componentry with an expected performance life of up to 25 years.

Can I expand my system later?

Yes, solar panels, battery storage, back up generator capacity and water storage can all be upgraded. Contact us to discuss a configuration for your site.

Delivery and Installation

Rover POD and Rover MINI systems are freight items rather than standard parcel post, get in touch for a delivery quote to your site. The Solar Trailer is fully road transportable and registrable, but pricing excludes registration and delivery, contact us for a freight and registration quote for your location.
